Live Tracked Rigs
Live Tracked Rigs
Drawn originally in Photoshop, these images are what are called "cut" model art. Separated for rigging, they will be animated in a software called Live2D, which creates a faux 3D effect using warping of 2D images.
These projects are published under my Lemonade_Prince persona, an online depiction of myself used to market these models and the story around them.
In Live2D, the models are then rigged up for 3D tracking. Even though they are made entirely of 2D images, the illusion of 3D motion is created by warping and shifting layers, revealing "back" layers that imply form.
Screenshots of the final rigs. The full body movement is based on facial angle and movement tracking managed by a software called VTube Studio.
